A long-time operation should be visualized using dialog window with some useful message and 'Dismiss'/'Interrupt'/'Break'/etc button. It will allow to interrupt this operation very easy and obviously.

Implemented instance is calculation of directory size.

Other possible instances are:
  * search in editor and viewer;
  * open large file in editor and viewer;
  * directory reading in some slow VFS;
  * something else.
