329	mc has high memory footprint when working with archives through VFS	mcermak		"When user works with archives, the archive is unpacked to /tmp. /tmp is usually a virtual filesystem held in memory. As the archive can be large, the memory footprint can rise quite high. This also blocks memory pages for other applications forcing system to swap.

This issue was reported on OpenSolaris but I see it as general issue.
