I'm wondering about allowing an external utility (e.g. vimdiff) for the ""Compare files"" C-x C-d command, instead of mcdiff, just like we do for the external viewer and editor.

If this is too complicated to implement, please ignore, as it's easily implementable with a custom command in the user menu.
