Sound good. Maybe similary just "cl" where it's "cw" now.

I renamed "char_width", "cw", "bytes_consumed" to "char_length" for unification.
This commit is in the 3265_cleanup branch.

#3417 should be reverted for now, and a proper fix made for .15. Other than that, I'm fine with current git.

#3417 is still mentioned in doc/NEWS, not sure if it's worth a new tarball, but at least the online version should be fixed.

Other than this, it looks nice to me.

(Looking forward to the official debut of the new viewer :))
