'#' does not backslashed in filenames on M-Enter

The '#' is quoted only if it's first character. Why it should be quoted in other cases?

wd ~/.weechat/logs # grep foo irc.rusnet.#perl.weechatlog
zsh: no matches found: irc.rusnet.#perl.weechatlog

wd ~/.weechat/logs # grep foo irc.rusnet.\#perl.weechatlog
shows many lines

mayb it is zsh specific
in bash its work without backslash
but also work with
