Sort order menu shortcut changed from S to O, why? #4373
Comments

There's no SFTP in Midnight Commander 4.8.28 in Fedora 36.
SFTP is not such a popular protocol to change the 20 year old defaults.
Whatever, looks like you don't care. |
In the "SFTP link..." menu item there are at least seven more characters to use.
Let's check:
Yeah, let's break what people are used to. Have you become the Gnome project followers? |
Ignore, the wrong ticket. |

Replying to andrew_b:
Is it possible to use N or K for SFTP please?
I've used the S shortcut for sorting for 20 years. I totally don't like how someone has decided to break decades old shortcuts. |

(aros@….com)I'm quite upset as to why MC 4.8.28 has changed the Sort order shortcut in the menu from S to O.
Is there any justification for that? Could we get the old shortcut back? There's nothing else which uses the S character in the F9 menu.
"S" has been used for for over two decades, now it doesn't work.
